With Benjamin Ingrosso

For Benjamin Ingrosso’s 2023 tour, we set out with a bold vision: create an immersive digital experience that mirrors his unique style and the spirit of the ‘60s, making every fan feel part of the journey.

For the Allt Det Vackra 2023 tour, Benjamin Ingrosso needed an online experience that captured the retro style of his latest album. We designed a site where fans could view tour dates and buy merch, inspired by a ‘60s aesthetic.

Tour dates were styled like vintage tickets, and a dynamic scroll effect transformed the album cover into the site’s background. Built in just two weeks, the site’s launch drew tens of thousands of views in the first 24 hours, resulting in multiple sold out shows.

BRIEF

Benjamin and his team came up to us in anticipation of his 2023 tour.

The goal was to create a website where fans could view all tour dates and buy merch in a way that matched his latest album’s style.

01Ideation

All we had to work with was the website’s goal and a single picture; the cover of Benjamin’s latest album.

From the picture, we were able to quickly deduce a color palette for the website, along with the vibe and time period of the album; which seemed to be set around ‘60s.

Since the theme was the ‘60s, we also came up with the idea of having the tour dates look like train/bus tickets from back then. This fits right in with the fact that the goal was to sell concert tickets.

02Design

With the ticket design completed, we were able to quickly create the tour dates section, while also adding a “stamp” for sold-out or canceled shows, inspired by how tickets were traditionally marked as used.

We then focused on the Hero section, where we came up with the idea of a scrolling animation that transitioned the center image into the website’s background.

We also created a custom logo for the tour, which later became a central element used for merchandise and branding.

Finally, we polished the remaining details, including a description section and the footer, completing the design in record time.

We added a “jittering” animation to all elements on the website, which changed scale and intensity per-object, which added an air of “hand-made” to the whole thing.

As a final touch, we decided to add a noise/scratches layer on the website. This made the feel more immersive and unique.

In total, code development for the website took about a week and a half, and included a full CMS for the client to control everything about the website.
